History

eFueling Technologies was founded in December of 1982 as National Business Control Systems (NBCS).  NBCS was established to design and manufacture a computerized credit card activated fuel management system for use in commercial fueling outlets. The first generation system was designed to meet the specifications for 24-hour unattended fueling for commercial fleet owners.

During the period from 1983 to 1985, NBCS began to sell equipment to customers located mainly in Texas. In 1987, NBCS embarked on a marketing strategy with the goal of increasing sales on a national basis without excessive increases in selling costs. NBCS established initial relationships with major national distributors to grow sales as well as service and installation partners.

In 2005, the official name of the company was changed from NBCS to eFueling Technologies, Inc. The company developed products respected in the industry but they poorly managed their finances. Lacking capital eFueling could not invest in product development, customer support suffered and both vendor and distributor relationships became strained. In 2009, eFueling’s assets and intellectual property were purchased by the Woodfin Group and eFueling Technologies, LLC was born. Woofin is a long-time customer of eFueling and understood the market potential for a revitalized eFueling.
